This bathroom was also a complete remodeling, removing the old and damaged cast iron tub and installing a new acrylic tub because the customer wanted to use the tub for his children, we suggested to install an acrylic tub because acrylic tubs have the advantage of keeping the water warm for a longer period of time.
The tub valve was switched to the opposite wall for better convenience. The warm air heating duct was rerouted because a bigger vanity was installed.
New tile floor and tile around the bathroom walls 48 inches high.
The tub ceiling and walls enclosure were tiled completely, building a niche for shampoo bottles and soup.
All the bathroom electrical were updated with new wires and fixtures, we also installed a new 20 Amps circuit wired from the basement fuse box for the new GFCI outlet.
Following our recommendation the customer decided to have a new extractor fan installed, venting through the roof to keep the bathroom without moisture and mildew.
After removing the old tub we end up having 80 inches of clearance so we built out the side walls and move all the plumbing over, to keep the bathroom original look, a fine work that has to be done, tiling the wall return.
