Hi Everyone. Kym Dowling here from Dowling Homes and I’m very pleased to show you the almost finished product of our project here at Esplanade. I hope you’ve been able to look at the previous videos of this project because, what a transformation this has turned out to be. We started off with a symmetrical villa that had a very tired lean to section at the back that we completely pulled away, and a hundred and sixty sq m addition, and look at the size of this – the beautiful high ceilings, lots of glass, it’s just turned out to be a cracker of a job, and we at Dowling Homes have designed this for the owners. We design and build. We’re very proud of this final product.
I’ll just show you the extent of this build – I’m going to walk back to what was the original rear wall of the house, and here we are, all the way back here.
So we’ll give you a rundown room by room of this spectacular build at Semaphore.
Over this side we have the theatre room, and this has been designed with Soundstop gyprock and extra dense insulation to soundproof the room, and this is the dining area, nice and generous. You can see the length of this table, and it almost looks lost in this area.
Across this side, we’ve got six metres of 2 pack and vinyl wrap kitchen cabinets with stone benchtops, and I think that would be the envy of most chefs in Adelaide. This is just a beautiful kitchen and absolutely enormous. We’ve got two ovens, a coffee maker and steamer, fully appointed, so this is absolutely beautiful.
Over this side is the living area. Some additional features are the below floor power points, and there we are – you can actually plug your appliances into that and then close the lid back down, and that allows the cables to stick out without any trip areas. So, nice little touch.
We’ll now just go down to the remaining part of the build area.
This is the newly fitted laundry with stone benchtops and 2 pack cupboards, and this flows through into the brand new bathroom. Some nice little touches in this area – walk in shower so there’s no sill on the floor, so no tripping points, a nice stone bath and just clean simple white tones, it looks really good.
We’ll now go to the other side of the property. As we walk through, just take a look at the aluminium doors that appear on all the internal doors here. Natural anodised aluminium with frosted glass. That is really nice. It just introduces that apartment, commercial look to the property.
Over the other side of this really wide lobby, we have the door that leads into the master suite, and in turn, walking through this open area into a combined dressing room and ensuite. And this ensuite has turned out really nice and have a look at these beautiful dressing room cupboards with pull down hanging space which is a nice little touch, it just maximises the storage up top, and on this side we have a really generous walk in shower as well.
So that is the extent of the areas in the build section and I’ll just go out now and show you the outside look.
And this is my favourite bit, the al fresco area. I just love al fresco areas, and this is a real cracker. Four metres wide, fourteen metres long and have a look at this stacker door system. This is absolutely beautiful, and this opens up the whole four and a half metres of uninterrupted in to out socialising. I love it, it’s really good.
So this is our project here at Esplanade. We’re really hoping to get one final video walk through once it’s all finished and cleaned up.
