My co-founder Steve (http://www.bathroomrepairtutor.com/) loves the Ishii tile cutter. He’s been a tile installer for over 15 years and knows his stuff. Here’s the Ishii Big Clinker https://goo.gl/fGg6Gm
Many thanks to Bill Rems, a Bathroom Repair Tutor member who encouraged me to do reviews on tools and share which tools to spend money on and which tools to, well lets face it, buy cheap.
Here’s the deal, if you have the Isshii Big Clinker and a 4 1/2″ angle grinder with a diamond blade you might not need a tile wet saw.
The Ishii is an investment, I totally get that. It’s about 9-0 on Amazon. And angle grinder will cost you – and the diamond blade will be . So the total price for those 3 tools is 6 to 6.
That’s way cheaper than a tile wet saw. Plus you can use the angle grinder for other projects like cutting metal, concrete, etc.
If you need to tile bathroom, kitchen, or basement and want clean tile cuts we totally recommend the Ishii brand of tile cutters. The Big Clinker is great because it cuts tile up to 24 inches long. And that’s hard to do even on tile wet saws.
