One could only imagine how this kitchen was once an eye sore from the late 70’s with it’s typically “U” shape kitchen, its dark brown cabinets and dark brown tiled floor, floor to ceiling brick enclosed ovens, poor lighting, dysfunctional storage and of course built for one person and one person only to fit in this kitchens tight working space.
Inspired by Spain and our next door neighbor Mexico, this new kitchen is now something to be proud of. Replacing an old window that looked into the swimming pool courtyard with new French doors makes accessing this kitchen a breeze! We also removed a sliding glass door on the back sink wall and replaced with it with a single French door and a small window. This allowed us to expand the length of the kitchen all the way down underneath the window. An extra sink was added to the island and custom painted black and green cabinets topped it off.
