Check out how we installed these beech wood Ikea butcher block countertops in our barn house kitchen. Our old Ardex concrete “cheater” countertops we installed a few years ago were starting to show some heavy wear, so instead of repairing them, we replaced them with these wood tops finished with Waterlox.
This is Part 2 where I show how fitted the butcher block countertops by test fitting them against the wall, making sure they had even amounts of hang over above the cabinets, and then building a simple cardboard template to help cut the center piece into shape.
