Check out how my wife and I used ribbed metal roofing panels to side our barn house during our exterior renovation.
The house had ugly, faded, baby blue, vinyl siding that was installed vertically. It was so old that it was cracked everywhere and leaking like crazy. The old plywood board and batten siding underneath was water damaged, so we had lots of rot repair to take care of.
This is part 4 where I show you the different tools we used to cut the pieces to size and how we installed the metal siding around the j-channel & drip cap that’s framing out the windows & doors. I also show you how I marked all the screw holes using a template I made from scrap wood (story pole) when working by myself and how to mark them with a chalk line if you have a partner. I finish it all up by showing you how we custom fit the corner trim pieces and installed them with butyl tape and screws.
